Habtamu Aga

This coffee comes to us from our partners at Falcon, courtesy of Kuri Mountain Coffee. Kuri Mountain Coffee was started in 2015 by Habtamu Aga, who’s family has grown coffee in western Ethiopia since 1945. They revitalized the farm and now own 5 different washing stations across Ethiopia. This coffee comes from the Chelbesa washing station (formerly called Worka) in Yirgacheffe. We were drawn to it as it is a little bit more textured than a typically light Yirgacheffe. We get tons of stone fruit, kiwi, lime zest, as well as a really lovely oolong tea flavor and mouthfeel. We feel like this is a wonderful complement to our Staycation blend, highlighting some different qualities that Ethiopian coffees can have.
