Sierra Mazateca Reserve

This is our 6th year to carry coffees from the Sierra Mazateca mountain range in Oaxaca, Mexico. This lot represents the best coffee from the best producers in the area. We first fell in love with the coffees from this region after buying them through an auction run by our importing partners at Caravela in 2018. This coffee is from some of those same auction winning producers.  Our partners at Caravela have done incredible work implementing modern farm management techniques, planting new trees, and pushing toward quality production has truly started to show progress. They opened a new dry mill in Oaxaca in 2024, and this is the first harvest that has been processed entirely under their guidance. This year’s lot has excellent aromatics. We get loads of cherry and developed sugars in the cup with the pleasant bitterness of 70% dark chocolate.
